SMM Digital (Feb 2-5, 2021)
SMM (shipbuilding, machinery, marine technology) is the leading international trade fair for the maritime industry. It’s held every two years in Hamburg. Experts and representatives of the industry come together to showcase innovative developments and leading-edge technologies. The industry’s prospects are also discussed.
The pandemic will force the 2021 edition to be held online. Visitors will be able to attend SMM Digital for free and without signing-up. Two streaming formats will offer four days of comprehensive insight into the developments that drive the maritime transition.
The Conference Stream will include the discussions of experts from industry, associations, and NGOs. You can check the programme for this stream here. Maritime Week Africa (Feb 16-17, 2021)
Maritime Week Africa is the longest-running and most popular bunkering event in the African continent. It has built a strong reputation for attracting the highest-level government and industry speakers, bringing together the most important suppliers and buyers, and highlighting the challenges and possibilities presented by the uniquely diverse African bunkering industry. Because of the pandemic, the 2021 edition will be organized as a free virtual conference and exhibition.
The ninth edition of Maritime Week Africa will concentrate on developments in West Africa, Southern Africa, East Africa, and Mauritius, and for the first time, North Africa, including the Maghreb and Egypt. TPM21 (Feb 25 – Mar 3, 2021)
TPM, organized annually by The Journal of Commerce within IHS Markit, is one of the most important conferences for the trans-Pacific and global container shipping and logistics community.
The event concentrates on the most pressing challenges affecting container shippers in North America and globally. It attracts the most senior-level audience in this industry and is a platform for a week of essential and intensive networking, negotiations, and relationship building among the multiple parties in the international container shipping supply chain.

Seatrade Cruise Virtual (Mar 8-9 and April 12-14, 2021)
Seatrade Cruise will be organizing a series of virtual events in 2021. The first four of them are concentrated on Expedition Cruising, Health & Safety, Guest Experience, and Tech & Innovation.
The Expedition Cruising event will be held on March 8-9. The keynotes, panels, Q&As, and networking events will include experts from different cruise companies and some of the subjects to be covered are regional updates, newbuilds & design, leaders onboard, environment & sustainability, and crewing. After this conference which is concentrated on expedition cruising, there will be three more events in April. Health & Safety conference will be held on April 12.
